Our Values and Mission

We established our family owned scratch bakery, Layla’s Bakery-Cafe, in 2018, and we specialize in European-style pastries, which we make using whole grain milled flours. We are a popular spot for locals, known for our delicious treats and inviting atmosphere.

Here’s what you can expect from us at Layla’s Bakery, attention to detail in service as well as a variety of products that include:

  • European-style pastries: Enjoy a variety of delectable viennoiserie style pastries, eclairs, tarts and specialty and hard to find treats like our almond croissants, Kouign Amman, Dry Creek Cinnamon Rolls and our Savory Danishes.
  • Whole grain breads: We use whole grain milled flours to make our breads, in addition to a long fermented sour dough starter, offering a healthier option for those looking for nutritious baked goods.
  • Brunch items: Indulge in a satisfying brunch with options like a Croque Madame, Avocado Toast, and a Power Bowl made with nutritious whole grains including quinoa, and brown rice, and roasted vegetables.
  • Coffee and tea: Pair your pastries with one of our specialty lattes, a cappuccino, or a mocha. We are proud to serve Matador coffee, small batch roasted in Flagstaff, or Sedona Trailhead Tea to help you complete your meal.
  • Outdoor seating: Enjoy your meal or coffee in our large and pleasant outdoor shaded seating area.

We care about our planet and environment and strive to achieve sustainability by minimizing our waste, composting our vegetable scraps, and consciously purchase products that use recyclable packaging. We are a proud recipient of Keep Sedona Beautiful’s Excellence Award, and a Sustainability Alliance Silver Award. We also partner with local small establishments, including Wild Tonic, Blue Meets Greens, and Sedona’s Compost Crowd, in efforts to support other small community businesses. If you’re looking for a delicious bakery experience in Sedona, come and visit us at Layla’s Bakery-Cafe!

Commitment to Community

We are committed to working with other small businesses in the Verde Valley and Northern Arizona. This helps keep dollars in our community, and results in many of our goods traveling shorter distances to get to us, reducing the amount of fuel used!

Our partners include:

  • Compost Crowd – Sedona
  • Trailhead Tea – Sedona
  • Matador Coffee – Flagstaff
  • Karen’s Gluten Free Bakeshop – Sedona
  • Blue Meets Greens – Sedona
  • Wild Tonic – Cottonwood

We Respect Our Team

Our employees are our most valuable asset! We work every day to make sure our employees feel safe and secure at work. Employer matched 401k, employer sponsored health insurance, paid sick leave, fair wages, and complimentary employee meals are benefits our employees enjoy.

Planet First

In 2018 we opened with a mission to do our part to reduce the impact we have on our planet. Our eco-friendly restaurant composts hundreds of pounds of vegetable scraps each week, keeping them out of our landfills, and we provide both trash and recycling receptacles to assist our customers in joining us in diverting much of our waste. We use 100% renewable electric energy to power our restaurant. We use only paper goods for all of our to go food items. We hate plastic, and are continuously searching for plastic-free packaging to eliminate our usage.

Beginning on Earth Day 2023, Laylas has partnered with Good To Go Cups, becoming a part of the single-use to re-use revolution! Our guests can purchase a reusable polymer cup that they can bring back and exchange for a clean one at their next visit. Visit www.goodtogocups.com to learn more and join the growing re-use community!
