Owners Javier, a Pastry Chef, and Amy, a Front of House Manager, connected over their desire to provide great customer service and quality baked goods. “We bonded over a love of breads, pastries, and anything else baked.” They welcomed a daughter, Layla, in 2017 and relocated to Arizona to raise her.
Opened in April of 2018, Layla’s features an assorted menu of high-quality baked goods, ranging from European pastries, eclairs and cakes to retail bread loaves, and uses whole grains to make all of its bakery items. They also have a small brunch menu, which incorporates many seasonal ingredients, and sources prooducts from other local businesses in the area.
